About Us...

Lonsdasle Road Methodist Church is one of the churches in the Gloucester Methodist Circuit, which from 1 September 2008 becomes part of the Gloucestershire Methodist Circuit within the Bristol Methodist District of the Methodist Church of Great Britain.

Our minister is Rev Carrie Seaton, who is also minister at St Johns (Northgate) Methodist Church.

We are a friendly church and offer a warm welcome to visitors and newcomers to our Sunday services and mid-week meetings.  Church activities include:

• Wednesday Group for women, with a wide range of speakers
• Men's Supper Club, addressed by speakers from a large range of backgrounds and providing opportunity for discussion
• Monthly Community Lunches in conjunction with the Parkinsons Society
• Throughout the week we serve the local community by hosting a number of organisations including:
  • Rainbows, Brownies and Guides
  • Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorer Scouts

Lonsdale, as a church and through its individual members support a number of charities including: Save the Children Fund, NCH Action for Children, Christian Aid, Parkinsons Society and Community Partners Association (COPA) - a charity that Lonsdale helped form in 1981 to provide education and health care to a very poor area  of the Dominican Republic.
